So, essentially, what I am trying to present is the idea of grief as a gift. Grief as a positive force. Grief that can become, if we allow it its full expression, a defiant, sometimes mutinous energy.
Remember your gratitude
even when the beasts are at the door.
Do not hold it hostage to your happiness.
It is embedded in your heart.
Let it out,
Even while you're weeping.
“Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly now, love mercy now, walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.”
